Greetings,
I am Heidi Hawkensen Uhlman, and I have dedicated my entire life to equestrian pursuits. Horses served as a significant outlet during my adolescence, particularly when I was 13 years old, which enabled me to participate in over 10 sanctioned dressage shows and horse trials each summer, establishing a foundational lifestyle for me. Furthermore, I was an accomplished competitive Alpine ski racer during the winter months, adhering to a similarly rigorous schedule throughout my formative years until I graduated from Plymouth State College. At the age of 25, I transitioned to riding full-time year-round, primarily competing in regions such as North Carolina, Florida, and Kentucky. I met my husband in 1997, and we were united in marriage in 2003 in Thornton, NH, where we are raising our daughter, Paige.

Throughout my career, I have emphasized Eventing as the foundation of my horsemanship; however, I contend that every discipline contributes valuable components to a well-rounded equestrian education. I particularly appreciate Eventing for the harmonious balance it affords between riding proficiency and effective horse management. I believe it is imperative for students to cultivate both their riding skills and a comprehensive understanding of their equine partners.
